Berry Berry Quite Contrary

I just read an interesting article over on Mama Knows Breast about how our culture's habits of being TOO clean has caused autoimmune disorders, asthma, etc. The theory is that the microbes, bacteria, worms, etc help our immune system to develop.

The author brings a good point - why do babies put EVERYTHING in their mouths? That's a good one. I mean, really, why would they ALL be designed to do that, if not for a reason? And to introduce germs etc is a pretty good one. What better way?

Now, I just have to get over this touch of germophobia...
